BREAKING NEWS: ISIS Gunman 'Kills Shop Worker' After Taking Hostages at French Supermarket

A suspected ISIS gunman has killed a shop worker after taking hostages at a French supermarket following a drive-by shooting that injured an off-duty officer. 

Shots were heard as the man stormed into a Super U at around 11.15am in the town of Trebes, south west France amid claims he shouted 'vengeance for Syria' and  pledged allegiance to the terror group.

Paris Attacks Suspect Goes on Trial in Belgium

The sole surviving suspect from the 2015 Paris terror attacks has gone on trial at a Belgian court over the gun fight that led to his arrest, according to BBC. 

Salah Abdeslam was captured in Brussels four months after the attacks.

The charges he faces are not related to events in Paris but to a shootout with police while on the run in Belgium.

Manhunt Launched After Car Ploughs into Anti-Terror Soldiers Outside Paris

A manhunt has been launched after a car ploughed into anti-terror soldiers in the northwestern suburbs of Paris on Wednesday morning, injuring six, according to The Local.

French security forces launched a manhunt on Wednesday after a car ploughed into anti-terrorism soldiers outside their barracks in the town of Levallois-Perret (see below), injuring six, three more seriously.

Six French soldiers have been injured after a car slammed into them in Paris before speeding away in what the suburb's mayor called a deliberate act, reported The Independent.

Two of the soldiers have been seriously wounded while the others sustained light injuries, the Paris Police Authority said.

Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam has been wounded in the leg and arrested in a police raid in the Molenbeek area of Brussels.

“We got him,” the Belgian secretary of state for asylum and migration tweeted, confirming reports of Belgian media that claimed that Abdeslam had been caught alive.

Paris is in a state of alert after several reports of gunfire made – beginning at around 4.30 a.m. local time and running for more than three hours – during an ongoing operation at St. Denis, north of Paris, and 2km away from the Stade de France where attacks took place on Friday.
