Israel says 4 detained after approaching its forces in southern Lebanon
The Israeli army said Wednesday that it detained four people for allegedly approaching its forces in southern Lebanon.
A military statement said the four were questioned on the field, in reference that they had not yet been transferred to Israel.

Foreign Ministry welcomes Israel-Lebanon ceasefire
The Foreign Ministry has welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, describing it is "as a positive initial step towards lasting peace in the region."
"We urge all parties involved to implement this deal for the benefit of all civilians and regional stability," the ministry said on X.

Türkiye welcomes the cease-fire deal between Lebanon and Israel, Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

Lebanese army prepares to deploy in southern Lebanon after cease-fire
The Lebanese army on Wednesday said it is preparing to deploy to the south of the country after a cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah entered into effect.
In a statement, the army said based on a request from the government, it will deploy to southern Lebanon in coordination with the U.N. peacekeeping mission in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and in implementation of the UN resolution 1701.
