Under the name "Belgrade Winter" or Beogradska Zima, a month-long New Year's party officially kicks off on December 15 and ends on January 15, with some events extending well into February, the Tourist Organisation of Belgrade, TOB, recently announced.

BELGRADE - This year's nautical and tourism season in Belgrade will ceremonially open on Friday, March 20, when the ship River Aria sails into the international passenger terminal of the Port of Belgrade.

River Aria will sail into Belgrade early in the morning, with around 100 US tourists who will be staying in Belgrade as part of a 12-day tour named Eastern Europe to the Black Sea.

As of February, BIRN's English language newspaper, Belgrade Insight, will no longer be distributed at one of the paper's biggest distribution points - Tourist Organisation of Belgrade centres.

While distribution of the free newspaper has also halted at Dufry outlets at Nikola Tesla Airport, negotiations with this company remain ongoing.

BELGRADE/ISTANBUL - The Tourist Organisation of Belgrade will present Serbia at the Tourism Fair in Istanbul from January 22 to 25, and the stand with the offer of Belgrade and Serbia was visited by Istanbul Mayor Kadir Topbas after the official opening ceremony, the Secretariat for Economy released.

Tourist Organisation of Belgrade, TOB, and travel agencies are organising two new special sightseeing tours of Belgrade throughout the summer.

While one tour aims to introduce visitors to World War I-era Serbia, the second one is about Nikola Tesla’s life and work.

The Tourist Organisation of Belgrade will promote city break offers in Belgrade, a calendar of events for 2014, gastronomy and opportunities for congress, youth and religious tourism, a TOB statement said.
