Principal arrested for sexual harassment of student in Achaia
A 65-year-old principal in Achaia, southern Greece, was arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a 14-year-old female student.
Extreme risk of fire for seven regions on Thursday

Wildfires subdued in Achaia, on Salamina
Firefighters were battling several blazes on Friday in different parts of the country and although strong winds and tinder-dry conditions hampered their efforts, they had managed to bring most under partial control by nightfall.
Two of the fires were in Achaia, western Greece, on forestland near the villages of Aghios Nikolaos and Santomeri.

Neighborhood police scheme to be boosted in three parts of Greece
The Greek Police (ELAS) is to extend the so-called neighborhood policeman scheme to cover another 13 districts in Athens, Kilkis in northern Greece, and Achaia in the Peloponnese, it emerged on Friday.
Oldest man in Greece dies at 112!
The oldest man in Greece had died at the age of 112! Thodoros Masouras from Achaia, lived through some of the most important events in Greek history. When the WW1 broke out he was 12 years old, while he was 35 during WW2. His relatives said he had full mental clarity until the end and was writing poems.

Greek police seize thousands of illegal fireworks in runup to Easter
Police said they have confiscated more than 27,000 firecrackers and other pyrotechnics and arrested 10 people over their illegal possession in the last few days in the regions of Achaia, Ilia and Aitoloacarnania in the Peloponnese.
