Parliament to hold closed session on 'Israel threats'
Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş has said the assembly will convene in a closed session to address potential security threats posed by Israel in light of its ongoing military actions in the Palestinian territories and Lebanon.
Law enforcement nabs 88 ISIL suspects in nationwide raids
Turkish security forces have detained 88 suspects linked to the ISIL in coordinated operations across the country, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said in a written statement on Sept. 20.
The raids spanned 23 of the country's 81 provinces, including the capital Ankara, Istanbul and Antalya.
Law enforcement nab 316 in nationwide drug ops
A total of 316 suspects have been arrested in operations targeting drug dealers across the country, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Sept. 12.
Authorities seized 580 kilograms of drugs and more than 120,000 narcotic pills in raids conducted in 50 of the country's 81 provinces, including Ankara, İzmir and Antalya, Yerlikaya said in a post on X.
