30th Heavy Penal Court

Former Istanbul Governor Hüseyin Avni Mutlu, who appeared before an Istanbul court on Aug. 24 on charges of having links to the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), has pleaded not guilty, denying all allegations against him. 

Former Istanbul police chief Hüseyin Çapkın surrendered to police late on June 16 after a court in issued an arrest warrant earlier in the day for alleged links to the Fethullahist Terror Organization (FETÖ).

Çapkın arrived with his lawyer at the police station on Istanbul's Vatan Street to surrender.

An Istanbul prosecutor sought three aggravated life imprisonments for 15 suspects including former Istanbul Governor Hüseyin Avni Mutlu and former Istanbul Police Chief Hüseyin Çapkın on June 8 over their suspected links to the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), Doğan News Agency has reported.
