Fire hazard warning issued

This summer's first fire risk warning has been issued for Tuesday. The Fire Risk Prediction Map issued by the General Secretariat of Civil Protection (civilprotection.gov.gr) revealed the risk factor is significant (category 4).

In particular, the warning concerns the regions of Viotia, Fthiotida and Fokida in central Greece, and Attica and Korinthia in the south.

Today, a man from the village of Kalipetrovo broke into the office of the electricity distribution company in Silistra and made himself sandwiches on a small party grill as a sign of protest that there was no electricity in his house for 24 hours.

Roman Furnace Almost 1,500 Years Old Unearthed in Bulgaria

 

A Roman furnace almost 1,500 years old was discovered during excavation works at a construction site in the town of  Silistra. According to archaeologists, this is the largest furnace for construction ceramics from the Roman era, discovered in Bulgaria, correspondent of BGNES for the region reports.

Sofia Municipality is about to retreat from the strict rules on movable objects and ads, which voted only four months ago. The reason is that the text of the ordinance for this area is now seen on part of the municipal councilors too restrictive.
