Dragnea-Dancila government

The Opposition will lodge the motion of no-confidence in Parliament, on Friday, the Chairman of Save Romania Union (USR), Dan Barna, declared on Wednesday.

Pro Romania has tabled an amendment to the draft law on pensions, which states that all provisions on pension increases should take effect on January 1, 2019 and calls on the MPs who formed the "Anti Dragnea Alliance" to support him, according to a Friday post on Facebook by Victor Ponta, the leader of this party and former social-democrat prime minister.

Romania went back 11 years ago, where it was before joining the EU, and the Dragnea-Dancila Government wiped away all the effort it made towards membership, said President Klaus Iohannis on Tuesday.

Replacing this accident of the Romanian democracy that is the Dragnea [Social Democratic Party leader, ed.n.]-Dancila [Romanian Prime Minister, ed.n.] Government represent the political necessity, President Klaus Iohannis stated on Monday at the General Assembly of the Romanian Municipalities' Association.

Prime Minister Viorica Dancila stated on Wednesday in Parliament's plenum she was not expecting the entire no-confidence motion, signed by the National Liberal Party (PNL), Save Romania Union (USR) and People Movement's Party (PMP), to be "a sequence of fabrications."
