Russia has announced the expansion of its tactical nuclear weapons exercises, initially launched in the Southern Military District, which encompasses the Black Sea Fleet and territories occupied in Ukraine. This extension now includes personnel from the Leningrad Military District, situated along the borders of Norway, Finland, Poland, and the three Baltic states.

The Greek Foreign Ministry took to the social media platform X on Wednesday to extend wishes to ally Finland on its Independence Day.

The two countries agreed to submit the request between May 16 and 22, i.e. during the visit of Finnish President Sauli Niinist to Stockholm on May 17 and 18, the paper writes, citing a source from the Swedish government, as AP reports.
