Türkiye celebrates Cabotage Day with nationwide events
The Defense Ministry, municipalities and citizens across Türkiye marked Cabotage Day on July 1, celebrating the 98th anniversary of the nation's merchant marine rights and maritime sovereignty.
"We will continue to protect our rights, concerns and interests in the seas and proudly fly our glorious moon-starred red flag!" the ministry said in a written statement.
Maritime and Cabotage Day celebrated
On the 97th anniversary of Türkiye's gaining full independence over its territorial waters, Maritime and Cabotage Day has been celebrated with a ceremony held in front of the Atatürk Monument in Istanbul's Sarayburnu.

The EP Transport Committee on the Requests of the Bulgarian Hauliers
Bulgaria and five other European countries have reached a partial compromise in the EP Transport Committee on the first Mobility Package related to the conditions of workers. This happened after a spectacular protest at the Luxembourg Square in Brussels and a unified position of the Bulgarian government, president and MPs.
