NBS: Financial result caused by exchange rate and prices
BELGRADE - The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has stated that its financial result last year was caused by differences in foreign exchange rates and prices.
Mihajlovic: Introducing order in road maintenance companies
BELGRADE - The adoption of the draft law to ratify the International Labour Organisation's Convention concerning Labour Clauses in Public Contracts will introduce order into road maintenance companies, primarily in terms of employee safety, Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said on Tuesday.
Parliament passes economic, media bills
BELGRADE - The Serbian parliament passed three media bills and a set of economic bills on Saturday.
It adopted the privatisation bill and the bills amending the bankruptcy law and the law on the procedure of registering with the Serbian Business Registers Agency, as well as the bills on public information, electronic media and public media services.

Parliament to discuss amendments to economic bills
BELGRADE - The Serbian parliament will on Thursday resume an in-depth debate on the proposed privatisation bill and the bill amending the bankruptcy law, to which a total of 149 amendments have been tabled.
A total of 126 amendments have been tabled to the privatisation bill, with nine adopted.

Public enterprise losses 2.2 times higher than elsewhere
BELGRADE - The loss recorded with public enterprises is 2.2 times higher than that recorded with the rest of the economy in 2013 and it added up to RSD 51 billion, as against the RSD 23 billion recorded with other companies, Nova Ekonomija weekly published on Wednesday.
Parliament to debate reform bills on Tuesday
BELGRADE - An extraordinary session of the Serbian parliament, which will discuss, among other things, the Bill of privatization and a set of media laws - the Bills on public information and the media, on electronic media and on the public service media, has been scheduled for tomorrow, the parliament said in a release on Monday.

Serbian economy makes RSD 23 billion loss
BELGRADE – The Serbian economy incurred a loss of RSD 23 billion last year, a four times smaller sum than in 2012, and losses were greatest in the transportation and warehousing and the processing industry sectors, Ruzica Stamenkovic, registrar at the Serbian Business Registers Agency, said Tuesday.
