Exxon settles Indonesia torture lawsuit
ExxonMobil has settled a long-running lawsuit brought by Indonesian villagers who alleged human rights violations by Indonesian military officials providing security to the oil giant.
The two sides agreed to resolve "all matters," said a joint filing from the opposing counsel that did not disclose terms of the agreement.

Chevron prepares tender for East Med drilling vessel
Chevron is preparing to issue a tender to lease a drilling ship to explore for natural gas off Cyprus, Egypt and Israel, it said on Monday.
Reuters this month cited sources saying that the US company had issued a tender seeking a drilling vessel in 2024 for a year with an option to extend for several years.

Norway earns record oil, gas revenue
The Norwegian state raked in record oil and gas revenues last year after the war in Ukraine sent energy prices soaring, official figures showed yesterday.
Norway earned 1.5 trillion kroner ($140 billion) in revenues from oil and gas, according to estimates by Statistics Norway (SSB).

ExxonMobil reports record profits of $55.7 bln in 2022

ExxonMobil reported record annual profits of $55.7 billion in 2022 on Jan. 31, reflecting higher commodity prices amid recovering demand and the impacts of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
In the fourth quarter, profits rose 43.7 percent to $12.8 billion, thanks to higher oil and natural gas prices and better refining margins compared with the year-ago period.
