Crete: American, 30, dies after falling from rooftop
Police in Crete are investigating the death of a 30-year-old American citizen, who suffered fatal injuries when he fell from the roof of the accommodation he was staying in Hania's Old Town.
The man was in Hania for business reasons.
Local media said the man was a soldier.
Police have ruled out the possibility of criminal activity, according to state broadcaster ERT.

Hania puppy killer arrested on DNA evidence
A man who skinned two stray puppies, removed their nails and hung them last August in Hania on the island of Crete was arrested on Wednesday after he was identified by police forensics teams via DNA testing.
It was the first time police had used DNA analysis to track down a suspect connected with animal cruelty.
