Donald Tusk Recommends the EU27 Accept the UK Request for an Extension
European Council President Donald Tusk will recommend the EU leaders to adopt a postponement of Brexit beyond the planned date of 31 October.
"UK is leaving the bloc on October 31, regardless of whether a deal has been struck"
"If we cannot strike a deal, Britain is ready to leave the EU without a deal on October 31, I believe this is important. It is not perfect, but it seems adequate that we leave EU on October 31", he stated today.
However, he declined to explain how he thought Brexit would be implemented with a no-deal scenario.

EC: The European Union Ready for No-Deal Brexit
The European Commission has said that the European Union is ready for Brexit without a deal and that such a variant would most likely hurt the UK, Reuters reported.
The Commission does not currently consider it necessary to take any further steps to prepare for such a scenario, EC spokeswoman Natasha Bertaud said at a briefing.
