Troicki off to winning start at Roland Garros

PARIS - Serbia's Viktor Troicki has got off to a successful start at Roland Garros after beating Evgeny Donskoy 7-6 (7-4), 6-4, 6-0 in the first round on Monday.

Troicki, who won after 140 minutes of play, is now 2-0 head-to-head against the Russian, and will next face the winner of the match between Frenchman Gilles Simon and Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili.

Djokovic wins thriller vs Simon, reaches Monte Carlo 3rd round

MONTE CARLO - Serbia's Novak Djokovic beat Frenchman Gilles Simon 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 on Tuesday to advance to the third round of the Monte Carlo ATP Masters tennis tournament.

Djokovic, who came from behind to win the match after being on the verge of defeat in the third set, will next face the winner of the tie between Pablo Carreno Busta of Spain and Karen Khachanov of Russia.

Karlovic ousts Tipsarevic from Tokyo

TOKYO - Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic has been knocked out the Tokyo ATP tennis tournament after losing to Croatia's Ivo Karlovic 7-6 (11-9), 7-6 (7-5) in the round of last 16 Thursday.

In a bid to reach the semi-finals, Karlovic will face Frenchman Gael Monfils, who beat compatriot Gilles Simon 6-1, 6-4.

The top Bulgarian male tennis player will face France's Gilles Simon in the second round on Tuesday morning.

Bulgaria's Dimitrov Defeats Gilles Simon for 1st Time in Brisbane

After a successful doubles game in Brisbane, Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov scored a tough victory against Gilles Simon (France).

This is his first win over Simon out of five times the two have faced each other.

Dimitrov thus made it into the second round of Brisbane International tournament, by defeating the French player 6:3, 7:6 (10).

Tennis-Tipsarevic defeated by Simon in Bucharest

BUCHAREST - Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic did not make it through to the quarterfinals of the ATP tournament in Bucharest, after losing to Frenchman Gilles Simon 7-5, 6-4 on Thursday.

The opponents were roughly equal throughout the first set, but Simon broke Tipsarevic in the 11th game and then won the set on his serve.
