Biden ending US support for Saudi-led offensive in Yemen
President Joe Biden announced on Feb. 4 the United States was ending support for a grinding five-year Saudi-led military offensive in Yemen that has deepened suffering in the Arabian peninsula's poorest country, calling the move part of restoring a U.S. emphasis on diplomacy, democracy and human rights.
'Dozens of IS Fighters Killed' in Yemen Strikes
US forces said they had killed dozens of so-called "Islamic State" members in a strike on training camps in Yemen's al Bayda governorate. The US has upped its number of strikes in Yemen as the civil war drags on, Deutsche Welle reported.
Reports indicated that about 50 "Islamic State (IS) fighters were killed in two airstrikes, both manned and unmanned.

US forces kill seven Al-Qaeda militants in Yemen raid: Pentagon
U.S. forces have carried out a ground raid on an al-Qaeda compound in Yemen, killing seven militants, the Pentagon said late on May 22.
The raid took place in Marib province in the early hours of Tuesday local time and was conducted with the support of Yemeni authorities.
