Turnover in industry up 23.9pct in Jan-Aug 2021

Turnover in industry increased by 23.9% in January-August 2021, by 23.9% more than in the same period last year, according to a press release of the National Institute of Statistics sent to AGERPRES on Tuesday. This is mainly due to the growth recorded in the manufacturing industry (+ 24.2%) and the extractive industry (+ 13.9%).

Hisense Europe makes loss in 2020, profit in last 14 months

Velenje – The Hisense Europe Group generated just under EUR 2 billion in sales in 2020, more than 97% of which came from home appliances. It ended the year with a loss of EUR 12.8 million, of which Gorenje’s loss was EUR 11.5 million. Turkey’s home appliance sales soared in first quarter

Turkey's home appliance sales and exports soared in the first quarter of this year, according to a sectoral group head.

"In January-March, our sales and exports increased 40 percent and 26 percent, respectively, compared to the same period last year," said Can Dinçer, head of the White Goods Manufacturers' Association of Turkey (TÜRKBESD) on April 20.
