Top court temporarily blocks HDP’s treasury aid
The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) will not be granted financial aid by the state for the year 2023 until the Constitutional Court finalizes the court case against the party that seeks its closure due to alleged links to the terror organization, the top court has said.

Lifetime sentence for "The Barber of Malča"
He was indicted for the kidnapping and abuse of a minor girl from Brzi Brod. The first-instance verdict was publicly announced in the High Court shortly after 11 a.m., in the presence of the family of the injured minor as well as numerous journalists.

New Supreme Court President, Prosecutor to be picked by 30 June
The judiciary and the government are poised to pick the new Supreme Court Chief Justice and Prosecutor after the terms of Vasileios Peppas and Xeni Dimitriou, respectively, end on 30 June, at the end of the judicial year.
Peppas, age 71, whose term began in September, 2017, is retiring due to the age limit.

A column I wrote 14 years ago was titled: âWitch-hunt in the judiciary.â It was those years when the Feb. 28 guys were ruling the state. Those judges and prosecutors who did not make decisions the way they wanted were blacklisted as âreactionist.â They also had a decree prepared for this purpose.
