Authorities say a shooting suspect fled on foot after evading police in his vehicle in Zefyri, northwest of Athens, late Tuesday.

An armed robbery occurred outside a convenience store in the northern port city of Thessaloniki on Monday afternoon.

At around 2.10 p.m., a suspect struck a delivery driver with a gun handle, stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.

Police are searching for the suspect.

An Al-Shabaab suicide bomber and gunmen attacked a busy beach in the Somali capital Mogadishu killing 37 people and wounding scores more, officials said on Aug. 3, one of the deadliest recent strikes in the East African country.

Authorities were investigating on Tuesday a shooting incident at a parking lot in Athens' western Haidari district shortly after midnight.

According to private television channel Skai, police believe two groups of unknown individuals started shooting at each other at the corner of Iera Odos and Kanari Streets.

11 people were injured in a shootout at a cafe in the Turkish city of Edirne. 11 people who were sitting in the front were injured, the Sabah newspaper reported. They were taken to hospital.

Eyewitnesses say that a car with four people stopped in front of the cafe and fired at it. 

Five people were killed and more than 20 were injured in a shooting in the US state of Texas. The suspected attacker, whose identity has not yet been revealed, was killed in a shootout with police, the BNR reported, citing local police.

Police said they took into custody early on the suspect in a seven-hour shooting standoff in a north Philadelphia home that left six officers wounded after a barrage of bullets.

An unhappy municipal employee started shooting at a municipal center in Virginia Beach, Virginia, yesterday afternoon local time, and killed 12 people and wounds at least six, he is also dead, said city police chief James Servera, quoted by Reuters.
