Türkiye hosts FIVB Volleyball Women Championship in Antalya
Türkiye will be hosting the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship for the second successive time, the Turkish Volleyball Federation has announced.
"The competition will be held in [the southern province of] Antalya between Dec. 14 and 18," it said in a statement.
Türkiye will be represented in the tournament with two teams, Vakıfbank and Eczacıbaşı Dynavit.
Turkish volleyball player named to FIVB Roster 100
Fenerbahçe Opet Women's Volleyball team star Eda Erdem Dündar was named one of the 100 greatest players, International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) announced on Feb. 4.
"A girl who discovers her self-worth and self-esteem can fearlessly chase her dreams," Dündar said on FIVB's website.

The men's volleyball Serbia's national team won the European Championship after beating Slovenia 3-1, thus becoming European Volleyball Champion for the third time.
Players selected by national coach Slobodan Kovac played wonderfully and triumphed on every match on the Championship, keeping their best performance for the finals.

Turkey's national women volleyball team defeated Germany 3-1 on Aug. 2 in their first match at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Intercontinental Olympic Qualification Tournament.

Kosovo accepted in FIVB
BELGRADE - World Volleyball Federation (FIVB) accepted today at the Congress in Buenos Aires Kosovo and South Sudan in its membership, said Serbian Volleyball Federation (OSS) in a statement.
As stated, President of OSS Nenad Golijanin said to the delegates during public voting that the Volleyball Federation of Serbia abstains on the issue of Kosovo acceptance into the membership.

Bulgaria to Compete in Top Group of 2016 World Volleyball League
The president of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation (BVF) Dancho Lazarov announced on Tuesday that the country's men national team will compete in Group 1 of the World League in 2016.
Bulgaria's participation in the top group became possible after the country was granted a wild card from the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
Volleyball federation sanctions Iran for barring women fans
The international volleyball federation FIVB on Nov. 9 said it will not allow Iran to host international events as long as women are banned from attending the game.
The announcement comes a week after a British-Iranian women, Goncheh Ghavami, was jailed by a Tehran court, five months following her arrest in the city after trying to attend a volleyball match.
