Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, will make her first official visit to Bulgaria this Friday since assuming office in May, according to Macedonian media reports. During her visit, Siljanovska will attend a performance by the Macedonian Opera and Ballet in Sofia, featuring Giuseppe Verdi's "Nabucco."

The General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet has started preparations for the 31st International Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival, scheduled to take place in the southern province of Antalya from Sept. 13 to 26.

The works to be staged in the festival, which has been held for 30 years at the historical Aspendos Theater in Serik district, have been launched.

The Greek National Opera starts the new year with a bang, presenting its ambitious new production of Giuseppe Verdi's swan song, the comic opera "Falstaff." Giuseppe Verdi's the 'Falstaff' opera will be staged by the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet on June 15 at Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) - Türk Telekom Opera Hall. Inspired by William Shakespeare's 'The Merry Wife of Windsor' and 'Henry V,' the play is the last masterpiece by Verdi.

The performances from the Opera of the Peaks festival this year were watched by over 3,000 spectators, despite the necessary restrictions on seats due to security measures. This was announced by the organizers of the Sofia Opera.

The sixth edition of the festival took place at Belogradchik Rocks from 6 to 15 August.

The fourth International Ephesus Opera and Ballet Festival will be organized between Aug. 24 and Sept. 3.
