PRISTINA - The defence team of a Kosovo-Metohija Serb charged by Pristina with alleged war crimes will seek a throwing out of his indictment and file a complaint against evidence presented against him because the indictment is based solely on witness accounts, lawyer Jovana Filipovic announced on Wednesday.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - The lawyer of a Kosovo-Metohija Serb arrested by the Pristina authorities wants Pristina's PM Albin Kurti to appear in court as a defence witness in his client's trial.

In a statement to Tanjug, lawyer Dejan Vasic said Dragisa Milenkovic was suspected of war crimes allegedly committed in Kosovo-Metohija in 1998 and 1999.

PRISTINA - Following a decision by a Pristina basic court to once again extend custody for an arrested Kosovo Serb, his lawyer said on Friday he had filed a request for protection of legality with the supreme court of the so-called Kosovo due to gross breaches of the law during the proceedings.

PRISTINA - A Pristina basic court has extended by two months the detention of Kosovo Serb Sladjan Trajkovic, a former police officer charged with alleged war crimes, his wife confirmed to Tanjug on Wednesday.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Kosovo Serbs held a protest in North Mitrovica on Thursday over a request by Pristina's prosecution office that the detention of Serb Sladjan Trajkovic be extended by a further two months, the Kosovo Online news portal reported.

In closing arguments at Pristina Basic Court on Friday, defence lawyer Dejan Vasic said that no evidence had presented found to prove that his client Zlatan Krstic participated in the attack in Nerodime e Eperme/Gornje Nerodimlje in March 1999 that left four members of one family dead.

74-year-old Bogdan Mitrovic was arrested in the village of Musutiste in the Kosovo municipality of Suva Reka on August 28 , after he was taken from a group of displaced Serbs who had come to see their houses and a razed Serbian Orthodox church in the village.

PRISTINA - The Basic Court of Pristina extended for another two months the detention for Slobodan Gavric from Belgrade who is suspected of having prepared a terrorist attack, lawyer Dejan Vasic told Tanjug.

Three Serbs acquitted of war crimes charges

PRIŠTINA -- The mixed trial chamber of the Priština Basic Court acquitted on Thursday three Serbs of charges that they committed a war crime during the Kosovo war in 1999.
