Taşköprü continues to use Atatürk's century-old urban plan
The Taşköprü district in the northern province of Kastamonu, which was rebuilt following a devastating fire in 1927, continues to develop according to an urban plan that was introduced 96 years ago by architects sent by modern Türkiye founder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
Mysterious canyon yet undiscovered
A canyon with city walls, caves and tunnel entrances is yet undiscovered in the western Black Sea province of Kastamonu's Taşköprü district. Stating that there may even be an underground city under the canyon, Kastamonu University lecturer Hikmet Haberal said that the region should be explored and brought into tourism.

Unique rock tombs disappear
The 2,700-year-old rock tombs in the northern province of Kastamonu's Taşköprü district, which are unique in Türkiye, are disappearing due to neglect.
The rock tombs, which are located in Donalar village, feature animal figures from many civilizations that make them unique in the country.
