The Israel Defence Force (IDF) has made a significant advance into Gaza City, according to IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi. In a statement made on Thursday, Halevi revealed that Israeli troops are operating inside Gaza City and surrounding it from various directions, marking a pivotal moment in the ongoing conflict.

As the army stated, infantry units, armored and other units with the support of drones and combat helicopters participated in the raid, for the second night in a row, near the neighborhood of Shejaiya in the eastern part of Gaza City.
Artillery and airstrikes were carried out on Hamas targets, including anti-tank guided missile launch sites and command centers.

Israeli ground forces backed by fighter jets and drones carried out a night-time targeted raid in central Gaza Strip, the army said Friday, as it prepares for a land invasion.

"During the last day, IDF (Israel Defense Forces) ground forces, accompanied by IDF fighter jets and UAVs, conducted an additional targeted raid in the central Gaza Strip," the army said in a statement.
