The Israeli military said it intercepted a missile launched from Yemen early Saturday, a day after the Houthi.-held capital Sanaa was hit by fresh air strikes.

Rebels in Syria have continued their swift advance, capturing key areas, including much of Aleppo in the north and making significant gains in the south. The offensive is led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), an Islamist group that has emerged as the most significant opposition force to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in over a decade.

Hours after a U.S.-brokered ceasefire to end the war between Israel and Hezbollah went into effect, Lebanon woke up to the sound of celebratory gunfire instead of Israeli airstrikes and drones buzzing overhead.

Tens of thousands of people, driven fleeing by the war between Israel and Hezbollah, made their way home yesterday (Wednesday), with many finding their towns and villages hugely devastated after a ceasefire agreement went into effect in the early hours of this morning.

The Foreign Ministry has welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, describing it is "as a positive initial step towards lasting peace in the region."

"We urge all parties involved to implement this deal for the benefit of all civilians and regional stability," the ministry said on X.

A ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon took effect on Wednesday after more than a year of fighting that has killed thousands of people.

A ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, facilitated by the United States and France, came into effect early this morning. The agreement, reached after months of intense conflict, was approved by the Israeli security cabinet and stipulates the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon within 60 days.

What the ceasefire agreement stipulates

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that the Israeli Cabinet is set to approve of a ceasefire deal with Lebanon on Nov. 26, claiming that Israel has a right to respond forcefully to any "violations" by Hezbollah.

Netanyahu stated that Israel will maintain 'full' freedom to act in Lebanon and that the truce will allow Israel to "focus on the Iranian threat."

Twelve people were killed, and eight others were injured in Israeli airstrikes on two areas of Tyre in southern Lebanon today, Monday (25/11), according to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health.
