The German newspaper "Express" places Bulgaria in fifth place in its ranking for the most budget-friendly summer vacations this year. The newspaper writes:

Only 240 tourists who have arrived in Bulgaria through the bankrupt tourist operator "Thomas Cook" have stayed in the resorts "Golden Sands" and "Sunny Beach". This was stated by the Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova.

She added that in the coming days they will also leave for their places of origin. Angelkova reminded that their costs were borne by the respective insurers.

Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova met with leading travel agencies in order to discuss measures for attracting organized tourists in the late bookings and last minute segment for summer 2019 and preparations for the 2020 summer season. The meeting was held in the Golden Sands seaside resort

The International Conference for Sustainable Investment in Tourism in Sunny Beach is opened, reported NOVA TV. 

Bulgaria will participate in joint international initiatives to promote our country as a tourist destination for four seasons. This was said by the Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova at the resort of Sunny Beach.

A ban on construction in most seaside resorts will be in force from Tuesday. That is why the construction of the first line of Golden Sands is happenening at the last moment. In the south resorts there is even more active work, where, besides new ones, existing hotels are being renovated, reports BTV.

The US Marriott Hotel chain is interested in two sites on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. One of them is in Varna and the other is on the southern coast. This was announced by Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova in Varna. But she says it is too early for more specific information.

20 kilometers north of Varna, among the curves of the steep coast, there is a resort with more than 60 years of history - Golden Sands.

The sea water on all beaches in Varna is clean, the latest analysis of the Regional Health Inspection in the city shows. Samples had been taken from 23 bathing areas in Varna region. The water quality is within the required standards at the "Officer's Beach", for which there was a temporary swimming ban last year.

Bulgaria is moving strongly in the direction of becoming an all-inclusive destination, stated Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova to Darik radio.

The Bulgarian Black Sea resorts of Sunny Beach and Golden Sands rank among the ten cheapest destinations for Russian tourists this year.

The ranking is based on hotel offers available during the period between February 1 and December 31.
