Egypt honours woman who dressed as man to work

An Egyptian woman who says she had to dress as a man to get work has been hailed as an "exemplary working mother" by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
      
Sisa Abu Daooh, 65, showed up on Sunday at the presidential palace to receive an award from Sisi and a cash prize of 50,000 pounds, wearing a male robe and turban, a day after Egypt marked Mother's Day.
      

Fez, niqab now allowed in marriage photos in Turkey

Turkish citizens are now allowed to pose wearing a fez or a niqab in photographs officializing their wedding, due to a new change in marriage regulations.

The most hotly debated issue in an amended article that passed into law on Feb. 10 is the new stipulation that couples would not have to acquire a "license to marry" before they can wed.
