Olympus: Video of the rescue of an American woman injured during a hike by Super Puma
A 63-year-old American hiker was picked up by a Super Puma helicopter from the Greek Air Force from the “Zolotas” refuge on Mount Olympus and transported to Litochoro.
A video of the airlift, which took place on Monday, August 26, was posted on the official account of the Air Force on X.

Greek fighter jet crashes into sea, pilot rescued
A Greek Air Force F-16 (Block 52+ variant) fighter jet crashed into a sea off the small island of Psathoura, in the northern Aegean.
The pilot managed to escape from the single seater aircraft using the ejection system. He was located and collected by a Super Puma helicopter and is being transferred to hospital.

An underage hiker who was injured while climbing Mount Olympus in central Greece is well in his health, the hospital where he was transferred said in a statement Saturday.
Helicopter crashes in sea off Poros
A helicopter has crashed into the sea off the coast of the Saronic island of Poros, reports said Tuesday.
According to Greece's state-run Athens-Macedonia news agency, the aircraft, said to be a privately-owned Agusta 109 helicopter, tangled in power lines before plummeting into the water.
