Rising Costs: Skiing in Bulgaria Now Reaches 200 Leva Per Day
Skiing in Bulgaria's mountain resorts can cost at least 200 BGN per day, as a survey by "Telegraph" reveals. A breakdown of expenses shows that 100 BGN is required for a lift pass, while overnight accommodation starts at around 40 BGN. If equipment rental is necessary, including skis, boots, and poles, it adds another 30 BGN per person, totaling approximately 170 BGN.

In a publication dated February 23, 2015 by Florian Sanktjohanser, the German daily presents the positions of both proponents and opponents of the expansion of the ski facilities in Bansko.
Bulgaria's Winter Resorts Open Ski Season
Bulgaria's largest ski resorts - Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo open this year's ski season on Saturday, reports the bTV national channel.
According to the information, this season the three resorts will keep the ski pass prices from last year, while the Tourism Ministry expects a 4-5% increase in number of tourists.

Bansko has been declared Bulgaria's best winter resort for a second year in a row in an online vote for the 2014 World Ski Awards.
Bansko's award was announced by Ivan Obreykov, Marketing Manager of Ski Center Bansko.
