Romania's economy advances 6.5pct in H1 2021

Romania's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) advanced 6.5% in H1 2021 y-o-y in unadjusted terms, and 6.2% when seasonally adjusted according to the flash estimates published on Tuesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS). In Q2 2021, GDP increased by 1.8% on a quarterly basis seasonally adjusted. When compared to the same quarter one year before, the Romanian economy was up 13.6%.

Nuclearelectrica registers rise in net profit by 12.3%, to 385.4 million RON, in H1

The National Company Nuclearelectrica (SNN) registered, during the first half of this year, a net profit of 385.393 million RON, rising by 12.3%, in comparison with the similar period of 2020, according to the company's financial results, published on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).

Investors present at the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) have intensified their trading activity during the first 7 months of this year, which determined the cumulated transaction value with all types of instruments to surpass 10.4 billion RON, the equivalent of 2.1 billion EUR, according to a report from the Stock Exchange.
