Brnabic meets with Borg

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic met with OSCE Chairman and Maltese FM Ian Borg in Belgrade on Wednesday.

Brnabic informed Borg she had invited all parliamentary parties to another round of discussions on implementation of recommendations by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), scheduled for Thursday.

Brnabic, Osmani note significance of Open Balkan

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic met with OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and North Macedonia FM Bujar Osmani on Thursday.

Brnabic noted that the cooperation maintained by her government and all state institutions with the OSCE Mission to Serbia was very good.

The parties also noted the significance of the Open Balkan initiative and its benefits for all citizens.

OSCE Hopes for Talks on Russian Withdrawal from Transnistria

Franco Frattini, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office's Special Representative for the Transdniestrian Settlement Process, said on Tuesday that Moldova and breakaway Transnistria must be ready to implement all their bilateral agreements by May as a precursor to possible progress on a Russian troop withdrawal from Transnistria.

Dunja Mijatovic becomes CoE commissioner for human rights

Mijatovic was elected by Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) at its plenary session in Strasbourg, for a non-renewable term of six years starting on April 1, 2018, the CoE announced.

She obtained 107 of the votes cast in the second round, a relative majority. Pierre-Yves Le Borgn' (France) obtained 103 votes and Goran Klemencic (Slovenia) obtained 19 votes.

Turkish Parliament speaker says problems between Turkey, OSCE to be 'ironed out'

Parliament Speaker İsmail Kahraman on June 7 said he hopes problems between Turkey and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) will be "ironed out," speaking at a meeting in Ankara with OSCE vice-president George Tsereteli.
