Large fire rips through south London railway arch

A large fire ripped through a railway arch beside Elephant and Castle station in south London on June 28, sending a ball of flame and plumes of black smoke billowing up high into the sky above the capital.

Police said the incident was not terror-related. There were no immediate reports of anyone being injured.

Huge Fire in London Warehouse

Twenty fire engines and around 125 firefighters are tackling a fire at a warehouse in Barking, east London, the London Fire Brigade has said.

Officers were called to a single storey warehouse on Alfreds Way on Friday evening (15th May) after reports of a building being alight.

Police were evacuated from a Tube station during rush hour this evening after an explosion left five people injured.

Officers were called to the scene shortly after 7pm this evening following reports of people 'running' from Southgate station. British Transport Police, London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service all attended.

Police closed the Strand, a major road artery that leads into Trafalgar Square - the very heart of the capital city - and advised people to avoid the area.

A Double-Decker Bus Has Crashed into a Shop in South London

A double-decker bus has crashed into a shop in south London, leaving two women trapped on the top deck, BBC reported. 

London Fire Brigade (LFB) said the women were conscious and breathing.

Photos on social media show the vehicle on the pavement having smashed into the front of the Poggen Pohl Kitchen Design Centre in Lavender Hill, causing the shop front to collapse.
