Police on Dec. 23 detained Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) MP and deputy parliamentary speaker Pervin Buldan in Istanbul, the party announced in its Twitter account. 

Buldan was detained at her residence in Istanbul in the early hours of the morning. 

Buldan also tweeted that she was being detained.

The HDP focuses on the Kurdish issue.

Four people were killed and two others were wounded when fire was opened from an armored police vehicle in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari on Oct. 8, according to a statement released by Hakkari Governor's Office.

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Deputy Group Head Oktay Vural has vowed to sue his counterpart from the Democratic Peoples? Party (HDP), Pervin Buldan, after Buldan claimed that his niece was currently fighting with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers? Party (PKK).
