The price of fuel has risen again, with those who have chosen to holiday on an island having to dig deep into their pockets to fill their car’s tank.
Average unleaded prices in the Cyclades and the Dodecanese have already exceeded 2 euros a liter, while prices in other tourist areas of the country are close to that level.

Attiki Odos tollway, a major thoroughfare in the greater Athens area extending from western Attica prefecture to the international airport to the east of the Greek capital, on Tuesday reportedly committed to paying 2,000 euros in compensation for every vehicle stranded a day earlier, during a heavy snow fall.

The weather will show a new deterioration on Sunday with Attica being one of the areas that will be most affected.
With COVID-19 epidemic raging government bans inter-regional movement for Easter
After weeks of mixed messages from ministers and with the COVID-19 epidemic raging in Attica, the government has finally decided to ban movement between prefectures for Greek Easter, which is on 2 May this year.
"The government proposes that inter-regional movement not be permitted for Easter," government spokesperson Aristotelia Peloni said in an interview with SKAI this morning.

Power outage in the contemporary state

There are adequate excuses for all that has occurred over the last hours in Attica due to the snowstorm.
Entire neighbourhoods went without electricity and water for many hours in Attica, which is home for about half of the population of Greece, and not in any remote region.
