New round of surveys begin off Kasos
Turkey's interest was again piqued on Monday by the conduct of surveys for the laying of electrical interconnection cables by the Italian-flagged research vessel Ievoli Relume south of Kasos and Karpathos in the southeast Aegean.

Magnitude 4.6 quake strikes between Crete and Kasos
An undersea earthquake with preliminary magnitude 4.6 occurred Friday in the sea area between Crete and Kasos, the Athens Geodynamic Institute said.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
The Athens Geodynamic Institute said the quake struck at 8.57 a.m. some 49 kilometers northwest of Kasos, at a depth of 27.5 kilometers.
Minor quake hits southeast of Kasos island
An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale occurred in the sea area near the southeastern Aegean island of Kasos today early Monday at 3.53 a.m.
According to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the quake's epicenter in an underwater area 11 kilometers southeast of Kasos.

A 5.3 Richter quake rattles area between Crete and Kasos
A moderate earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale shook a sea area between the islands of Crete and Kasos in the southern Aegean Sea early on Saturday.
According to the Geodynamic Institute in Athens the tremor took place at 1.34 a.m. and its epicenter was located 67 kilometers west of Kasos.
