The Camerata – Friends of Music Orchestra will bring the scent of Vienna to the Athens Concert Hall on Saturday, January 4, when its New Year’s concert will take place.

Johann Strauss' "Die Fledermaus" (The Bat) is more than a 19th-century classic about masked characters caught in a farce; the operetta is a mirror to our modern world, where people hide behind extravagant personas instead of digital screens, director Yannis Skourletis told Kathimerini.

Greek National Opera singers will perform a medley of songs from well-known operettas at To Treno sto Rouf. The program includes pieces by Johann Strauss, Theofrastos Sakellaridis and Franz Lehar, among others. Performances take place on Wednesday, December 21 and December 28, at 9.30 p.m. Admission is set at 12 euros.
