More than 110 million euros invested in wind farms in 2024
Investments in wind farms totaling more than 110 million euros were connected to the grid during the first half of 2024, according to the Wind Energy Statistics announced by the Hellenic Wind Energy Association (ELETAEN).
Wind energy equipment exports hit $2.2 billion in 2023
Export revenues of Turkish wind energy equipment manufacturers increased from $1.5 billion in 2020 to $2.2 billion in 2023, according to İbrahim Erden, the president of the Turkish Wind Energy Association (TÜREB).
Türkiye is on a path to becoming a reliable supplier to the European wind energy supply chain, Erden told daily Hürriyet.

Global wind turbine sales rise
Orders for wind turbines were up in the first half of the year compared to 2022, after a rebound in purchases in North America and strong volumes in China, said a study published on Sept. 1.
Between January and June turbine orders for capacity reached 69.5 gigawatts, a 12 percent rise over in the first six months of 2022, according to research firm Wood Mackenzie.

Rönesans teams up with Nordex for 189 MW wind project
Rönesans Enerji has announced it has taken another key step towards achieving Türkiye's renewable energy goals with a milestone investment into three wind turbine projects with the Nordex Group.
This project will mark Rönesans Enerji's first renewable investment after TotalEnergies acquired a 50 percent stake in Rönesans Enerji last month.
Greece’s wind energy capacity up 252.5 MW in H1
New wind power farms with a total energy capacity of 252.5 megawatts and a total investment of 260 million euros were connected to the country's electricity grid in the first half of 2023, the Hellenic Wind Energy Association (HWEA) said in a report.
