Jankovic in Doha Ro16

DOHA - Serbian tennis player Jelena Jankovic reached the Round of 16 at the WTA tournament in Doha with a straight sets win 6-0, 6-2 over Italy's Karin Knapp on Wednesday.

In the pursuit for the quarter-final berth, Jankovic will next face Russian Alisa Kleybanova, who also advanced in two sets defeating Stefanie Voegele of Switzerland by 6-3, 6-2.

Jankovic and Kleybanova are doubles partners at the Qatar tournament, and are set to play their eight-final match against the all-American pairing of Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears on Thursday.

The tournament in Doha offers a total prize fund of USD 2.44 million.
