Dodik, Vukicevic discuss combating “electoral engineering”

BANJA LUKA– Republika Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik has met with Serbian Ambassador to Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) Stanimir Vukicevic to discuss RS lawmakers' activities aimed at enacting regulations on place of abode and residence to prevent "electoral engineering" in the BiH entity.

What Dodik and Vukicevic discussed is a legal solution to prevent a plan by the Bosniaks from the other BiH entity - the BiH Federation – to obtain fictitious residences in the RS and in this way influence election results.

A release from the office of the RS president cites Dodik as saying that the manipulations taking place in connection with the "election engineering" must be put an end to throughout BiH.

Dodik and Vukicevic also discussed other current issues in the RS and the region, focusing particularly on economic cooperation between the RS and Serbia, Radio Television of Republika Srpska has reported.

The Serbian ambassador also met with the Serb entity’s Minister of Labor, War Veterans and Disabled Persons Protection Petar Djokic, and the meeting was attended by Serbia’s Consul General in Banja Luka Vladimir Nikolic.

They discussed the issue of entitlement to war veterans and disabled persons protection rights in both the RS and Serbia and exchange of documents to facilitate resolution of pension and disability insurance cases.

Vukicevic also said that he will work hard to find donors and organizations to help the reconstruction of the Center for Vocational Rehabilitation and Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Diabilities in Banja Luka.
