WTA rankings: Jankovic up to eighth spot, Ivanovic 12th

LONDON - The best-ranked Serbian female tennis player holds the eighth place in the WTA rankings that were published on Monday, which is one notch up on last week, while Ana Ivanovic remained the world's No. 12.

Jankovic, who suffered a defeat in the Bogota final on Sunday, currently has 4,010 points, surpassing Russia's Maria Sharapova.

As No.12, Ivanovic has 3,280 points.

Bojana Jovanovski stayed 39th with 1,300 points, and Jovana Jaksic with 602 points upped her ranking to 105th place.

There are no changes at the top - Serena Williams heads the rankings, followed by Li Na of China and Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland.
