URS continues to operate as political party

BELGRADE - The Presidency Collegium of the United Regions of Serbia (URS) decided on Tuesday the URS would continue to function as a political party, adding that they would discuss cooperation with other parties in order to create a stronger political organization.

The URS has to go back to its original principles, the meeting participants stated, also announcing the possibility of changing the party's name, depending on which party would join up with them.

The URS is no longer a party with seats in the parliament because they failed to reach the 5 percent threshold at the snap poll in March, and the party's leader Mladjan Dinkic resigned from his position following the election.
