Bucharest Premieres Public Art Pavilion

Designed to feature a wide range of art from heritage art to contemporary art, the public art pavilion will display the artworks of several Romanian and foreign artists including Brancusi, Klimt, Rembrandt, Picasso and Chagall.

In the galleries area, Romanian art valued at almost 1.5 million euro will be on display.

“The first Art Safari Pavilion bring together all actors who can support the creation of a professional art market system. We aim to become a major regional event, part of the main events in the East European art landscape,” Diana Dochia, co-director of the event, said.

The Art Pavilion’s main purpose is to facilitate dialogue between the public in Bucharest and the values of heritage and contemporary art.

Organizers hope to encourage museum visits, increase awareness of and interest in cultural events and contribute to the shaping of a national cultural identity.
