Djokovic through to Roland Garros semifinals

PARIS – Serbia’s Novak Djokovic reached the 2014 French Open semi-finals after beating Canadian Milos Raonic in straight sets 7-5, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 on Tuesday.

The world numbers two and nine were about equal in performance during the entire match, but the Serb’s concentration was better in the decisive moments.

This was the Serb’s third victory over the Canadian in as many meetings between the two.

In his bid for the final, Djokovic will play Letonia’s Ernests Gulbis, who defeated Czech Tomas Berdych 6-3, 6-2, 6-4.
