Inspection procedure for controversial PhD thesis launched

BELGRADE - The Serbian Ministry of Culture, Science and Technologic Development has implemented steps in order to establish the facts in connection to the disturbing allegations in the public which call into question the credibility of PhD title of Megatrend University Rector Mica Jovanovic, the Ministry released on Thursday.

Minister Srdjan Verbic launched an international procedure in order to establish whether or not the controversial PhD thesis exists in the European Network of Information Centres (ENIC) database for academic recognition and mobility.

Upon the conclusion of the procedure, the public will be notified about the results of the inspection, the release states.
