Minister Bogdan Stanoevici meets with representatives of Romanian community in Austria

Minister-delegate for Romanians Everywhere Bogdan Stanoevici, is conducting, between June 13-15, an official visit to Austria, where he has already met with representatives of the Romanian community, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs press release remitted to AGERPRES informs.

The Romanian official has met with Stefan Steiner, head of the Department of Integration of the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with whom he discussed existing relations between the two countries, as well as the role that cultural and educational exchanges have in furthering the integration of the Romanian community in Austria. In this sense, Stefan Steiner stated that in Austria, the Romanian community is well integrated.

"Unity in diversity is important at this moment and helps us know each other better", said Stefan Steiner.

In his turn, Minister Bogdan Stanoevici mentioned that one of the priorities of his mandate is keeping Romanian identity strong in the Romanian communities abroad.

"Culture and church keep Romanians together around the Romanian language, in parallel with their full integration in Austrian society. A good knowledge and understanding of one's own language and culture can contribute to keeping and furthering the national spirit", said Stanoevici.

The two officials discussed about the projects that Austria supports and develops for the communities in this sense and about ways to improve educational exchanges.
