Festival of organic production in Belgrade on July 12-13

BELGRADE - A festival of organic production will be held in Belgrade on July 12-13 under the slogan “Buy organic food- be friendly to yourself and your environment”.

The festival of organic production will take place at a market in New Belgrade. It will be organized by Serbia Organica, with the backing of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

The goal of the event is to raise awareness about the qualities of organic produce, the health benefits of its consumption, specificities of the production, control and certification. With that in mind, educational and promotional materials will be provided.

The National Association for Organic Production, Serbia Organica, with the support of the public utility enterprise Belgrade City Markets, organized the first organic market in New Belgrade in July 2011, at which farmers from various parts of Serbia have been selling their products for three years now.
