Greek police crack two crime rings on Crete

Police in the Cretan prefecture of Iraklio said on Wednesday that they had broken two criminal rings operating in the area – one trading in drugs and the other an established usury and extortion racket.

Officers arrested a total of 10 suspects – seven Greeks and three Albanians – following a series of raids at homes across Iraklio that led to the seizure of 25,000 euros in cash and significant quantities of cocaine and cannabis.
