Three policemen set to escort Kurdish singer killed at accident
Three policemen were killed in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır at a road accident while they were going to escort famous singer Rojin.
Three policemen were killed in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır Aug. 16 at a road accident while they were going to escort Rojin, a famous singer who is running a TV program on TRT 6, the state-run broadcasterâs Kurdish language channel.
Ahmet Yıldırım, Ãmer Mercimek and Sıtkı Kara were killed as four others were injured.
The policemen were going to neighboring Mardin to escort Rojin to Diyarbakır center, reports said.
Rojin had demanded official guards as she said she was threatened by the outlawed Kurdistan Workersâ Party (PKK) since she was making a program on a state-run TV, according to Radikal.
