Djokovic/Krajinovic pull out of doubles in Beijing

BEIJING - Serbians Novak Djokovic and Filip Krajinovic pulled out of the doubles competition in Beijing, handing a walkover to China Open semis to the Italian-Argentinian pair of Fabio Fognini/Leonardo Mayer.

Djokovic and Krajinovic were previously given a walkover to the quarter-finals after Ernests Gulbis of Latvia and Marcin Matkowski of Poland were forced to withdraw due to Gulbis' injury.

Fognini and Mayer created a first-round upset by defeating top seeds Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia and Daniel Nestor of Canada 2-1, and will next face the Dutch-Romanian pair of Jean Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau for a spot in the final.
