MONTE CARLO - Serbia's Nenad Zimonjic and Poland's Marcin Matkowski secured their spot in the quarterfinals of the doubles event at the ATP Masters tournament in Monte Carlo, after defeating Spaniards Tommy Robredo and Fernando Verdasco 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) in the second round Thursday.

Zimonjic, Qureshi beaten in Dubai ATP final
DUBAI - Serbian tennis player Nenad Zimonjic and Pakistani player Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi did not manage to win the title in the Dubai ATP in the men doubles category as they lost the final match on Saturday to India's Rohan Bopanna and Canada's Daniel Nestor, 6-4, 6-1.

Zimonjic, Nestor score victory in their last doubles match
LONDON - Serbian tennis player Nenad Zimonjic and his Canadian colleague Daniel Nestor were won the final group stage match against Spanish players Marc Lopez and Marcel Granollers at the London Masters ATP, 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 11-9.
Unfortunately, the victory with the score at 2-1 was not sufficient to get Zimonjic and Nestor through to the semifinal.
Zimonjic loses in Shanghai second round
SHANGHAI - Serbian Nenad Zimonjic and Canadian Daniel Nestor lost in the second round of the ATP tournament in Shanghai on Wednesday.
Second seeds in the doubles competition were defeated by the Czech/Russian pair of Lukas Rosol and Mikhail Youzhny by 7-6 (8-6), 6-2.
The prize fund of the 2014 Shanghai Rolex Masters totals USD 8.5 million.

Djokovic, Krajinovic through to Beijing doubles quarterfinal
BEIJING - Serbia's Novak Djokovic and Filip Krajinovic reached the doubles quarterfinal at the ATP tournament in Beijing after the withdrawal of Latvian Ernest Gulbis and Polish Marcin Matkowski in the first round on Thursday.
Djokovic/Krajinovic are next to take on Italian-Argentinean pair Fabio Fognini/Leonardo Mayer.
Jelena Jankovic ousted in 4th round
NEW YORK - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic lest to Belinda Bencic from Switzerland 6(8)-6 6-3 in the 4th round of the US Open on Monday.
That match took two hours and the win made Bancic the second youngest quarterfinalist of in the history of the US Open, behind compatriot Martina Hingis, who was six months younger when she won the tournament back in 1997.

NEW YORK - Serbian tennis player Nenad Zimonjic and Canada's Daniel Nestor qualified for the U.S. Open third round in men's doubles as they defeated Columbia's Nicolas Barrientos and Santiago Giraldo in the second round match late on Friday (CET), 6-2, 6-2.

Zimonjic and Nestor ousted in quarterfinals in Cincinnati
CINCINNATI - Serbia's Nenad Zimonjic and Canada's Daniel Nestor have failed to reach the semifinals of the ATP Masters in Cincinnati.
They lost to Julien Benneteau and Edouard Roger-Vasselin of France 6-3 6-4 on Friday.
The French duo will face Canada's Vasek Pospisil and Jack Sock from the US in the semis.
The prize fund for the tournament is USD 4 million.
